Section 4 - Links: Introduction to HTML Hyperlinks
Hello,
Note: You can change your user name at any time from this page. Just click the Change name link above.
Bookmark this page now if you think you might want to change your user name later.
The web wouldn't be a web without links.
When you create web pages, you must decide on the best way to link your pages together.
This HTML tutorial itself uses a number of standard linking practices such as putting a bar of
menu buttons on the left of every page, and putting text links at the bottom of each page.
Because the lessons in this
tutorial are meant to be taken in order, there are also "Next Lesson" and
"Previous Lesson" links at the bottom of every page. Poorly linked pages
are confusing to your readers. If you want to keep your readers happy, you need
to have your pages linked together in a manner which is easy for your readers to understand.
In this section you will learn how to make several different kinds of links -
links to other pages on your own site, links to pages on other websites, links within the same page,
and finally, links to email addresses. You will also learn how to turn images into links.
So,let's go to the next lesson and get down to business.
