The Cafe LaTe HTML Tutor
Basic Web Page Construction
for Japanese Teachers of English

The Cafe LaTe HTML Tutor

Are you a busy teacher who would like to try web page creation in your classroom? Ichariba Home Page is just what you have been looking for. Many schools in Okinawa are now equipped with new computers, but have no home page building software installed. Ichariba Home Page can help by guiding you through the basics of home page creation. No special software is needed.

photo    The lessons in this tutorial can be taken in any order, but it is a good idea for people who are new to computers to take all of the lessons in order. People with a prior knowledge of computers can skip over familiar material, and jump directly to the sections where they need help.

Many teachers who use special software on their home computers to create web pages are faced with the problem of not having the same software available in the classroom.
www    With the skills you acquire by taking this tutorial, you can teach web page construction to students in any computer classroom, without any home page building software. All that is needed is a simple editing program like Windows Notepad (which is included with Windows).

Each lesson takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. When you go to the first lesson page, you will be given an opportunity to personalize these lessons by entering your name, or nickname. (Your nickname is stored only on your computer.)

The quizzes at the end of each section are used for review and reinforcement purposes only. Scores are not recorded. If you have your students take the quizzes and want to record their scores, you will have to do so manually.
